Flex Cam

FlexCAM is a technology module for implementing non-linear movements in which a linear reference variable (master axis) is transferred to a slave axis via a virtual cam. It enables the flexible definition and sequential execution of cams for precise motion control of an actuator. FlexCAM is particularly suitable for synchronized, recurring motion sequences in machine applications and supports different motion and travel profiles. The State module permanently couples the cam to the master value; engagement and disengagement take place together and are state-dependent. The High module extends this with separate coupling functions so that the cam can be engaged and disengaged independently of the coupling to the reference value, creating more degrees of freedom in the motion sequence.
