Create and set up a new project

When you start »EASY UI Designer«, the project configurator is displayed first. By selecting New projecton the start page, you are taken to a page where you can create a completely new project (+) or create a project based on an already saved template.

Create project

To start creating a customised project, click on the plus sign(+). An empty project can be created using the right mouse button and the empty selection. In the latter case, only the absolutely necessary settings are configured.

Alternatively, you can also create a project based on a template you have created yourself under Custom templates.

After you have created a new project on the start page using the plus sign(+), you will be guided through various dialogues to define the project settings.

Set up project

• Project

  Here you define the project data (project name, project path, project version, developer, customer).

• Device

  Here you select your existing control unit and have an overview of the device-specific restrictions.

• Features

  This is where you configure the functions that are part of your visualisation. User management, language switching, alarm system and variable system are permanently integrated, while recipe management and the integration of FAST services are optional.

  If you want to test the visualisation immediately without further user configuration in »EASY UI Designer«, activate the Add guest user option for user administration here.

• Communication

  To be able to import variables from a PLC project, a link must be made to the project. Three options are available for this:

  • PLC Project

    The recently modified *.project files are made available for selection here.

  • EASY Export

    All relevant information can also be found in the Lenze exchange format *.easyuilpk, which can be selected here via the ...-button.

  • Symbol configuration

    The symbol configuration(*.xml) with the variables released for the visualisation is loaded via the ...button.

• Display

  Here you create a new client project with all the information about the display device.

  • Selection of device type and device size/resolution.

  • Selection of the layout (responsive, fixed menu at the top, fixed menu at the bottom) and the design for the visualisation (theme, appearance of the control elements).

  • Selection of the views to be added to the visualisation project.

• Summary

  A summary of all project settings is displayed here.

  • Click on the button to create the project and open it in »EASY UI Designer«.

  If you tick the box below the summary, the project settings you have made are also saved as a template for new projects.
