Variables

In the previous section, you created your first EASY UI project and gained an overview of the structure of the application framework contained in the project.

Your application therefore has a functioning user interface, but cannot yet display any machine data or forward user input to the machine. To make this possible, you must define in the server project which variables are to be exchanged with the control system via which communication channel. This is defined in the Variables systemmodule. You can access the system module in the development environment via the Variables project explorer node.
