Autodetect single access to structural elements

This option is only available if the Single access when writing to structure elements parameter has been activated.

With some OPC UA servers, individual access to field/structure elements is not supported across the board. You can activate the Autodetect individual access to structure elements parameter to automatically check whether all required structure members/UA nodes can be written to individually when the system is started up.

Setting

Description

0

At system startup, the system does not automatically check whether all UA nodes can be written to individually (default setting). The system assumes that all structure members can be written to individually if the parameter Individual access when writing to structure elementshas been activated.

Note: If the system attempts to write to a member node and the PLC denies this write access, an error message is issued.

When the system is started, all structure elements are checked for their individual access options (UA nodes directly available). If a node is not available for write access, the entire structure is described instead of the individual element.

Note: If this option is activated, the system start can take noticeably longer with a large number of variables.

For single access to field elements, the option Single access when writing to field elements using 'IndexRange' is available.
