Replacement value is adopted

  • If no replacement value is specified and the quality flag does not display LastKnown, the process variable in the variable server retains its old value.

  • If the quality flag displays LastKnown and no replacement value is specified, the value transferred by the OPC server is entered in the variable.

  • However, if a substitute value has been specified and the Send on communication cancellation option has been activated in substitute value mode, the substitute value is entered in the variable.

In all three cases, the quality flag is adopted accordingly and a change event is triggered via the client.
