Components (system module recipes)
Components of the system module and their interaction.
The following diagram shows the components of the EASY UI Designer system module Recipes. The task of each component and the interaction of the components are explained below.
- Variable server
- The variable server supplies the process values involved in the recipes and transfers them to the PLC. You can find more information in the Variables chapter.
- Recipe server
- The recipe server reads the definitions of the recipe classes from the project file. It creates memory areas for the recipe classes, the so-called recipe buffer. It serves as an interface between clients, variable servers and recipe files.
- Recipe client
- As a central collection point in a visualisation application, the recipe client enables access to the recipe data buffered in the recipe server and the functions of the recipe server.
- Controls/VisiWin API
- The controls in recipe mode can be switched between two views. They can either display the current values from the variable server or values from the recipe buffer of the recipe server. The recipe server can be accessed programmatically in the VisiWin API using the recipe class object.
- Project file
- The project file contains the definitions of the system module Recipes. At development time, it must be determined which process variables belong to a recipe(recipe elements). The parameters of a recipe class are used to define how and where recipe data is processed.
- Recipe editor
- The recipe editor is the configuration tool for defining the system module recipes.
- Recipe files
- The recipe files contain the lists of recipe values compiled on the basis of recipe definitions. You can find more information on the formats for recipe files in the chapter .
