Relative data storage

The recipe data is saved in the recipe file relative to a reference value.

Only affects standard server.

If a recipe is to store data relating to production quantities, the recipe class can be changed to relative storage using the Recipe values absolute/relative parameter. All values are then saved in the recipe file in relation to a specific reference value. This reference value could, for example, be 100% or ingredients for 4 people. If the recipe is then to be used for double the quantity (200%) or 8 people, all quantities must be doubled.

Caution: Make sure that only data that can be meaningfully converted with a factor is saved in the recipe: A stew for 8 people does not take twice as long to cook as a stew for 4 people!

The two parameters mentioned must be defined in the recipe class:

Reference value
This is the standardisation factor parameter in the recipe class definition.
Factor
This is the value of the variable that was specified in the target factor variable parameter in the recipe class definition.

As the standardised values are only saved in the recipe file, the conversion only takes place when loading, sending or saving a recipe:

Attention: Before saving, make sure that the value of the target factor variable is set correctly! In most applications, the value must correspond to the standard factor so that the values set in the recipe buffer are saved in the recipe file.
