Language switching
The system module language switching enables the free, operating system-independent selection of texts depending on a language.
The localizable texts have the following advantages, among others:
Changing the language at runtime
A text definition is a group of texts with the same meaning in different languages. Texts can be changed at runtime. For example, it is possible to display user texts in the language of the respective operator without restarting the application.
Text display depending on variable value/text lists
Special control elements can display localizable texts depending on a process variable value. In this way, a dependency on a variable value is achieved in addition to the dependency on the current language. The variable value therefore controls the selection of a text from a list of texts.
Little effort for the developer
A localizable text is selected by setting properties. It does not have to be executed programmatically.
