Definition: Text group

Text groups are used to structure localizable texts. They appear in the VisiWin project explorer under the main node Language switch (symbol ).

Text groups offer the following functionality, among others:

• Structuring according to function groups (user texts, alarms, archives, etc.)

• Structuring according to functionality

• Possibility of structuring according to project modules (e.g. screen views) for better exportability of program parts (see Organising text groups)

• Path specification for accessing texts from the source code

Text groups can be nested hierarchically like a folder structure. This increases the clarity of the project.
