Manual jog (jogging)

This status enables manual traversing of the drive system ("inching mode").

  • In the "Jogging" status, the following actions are carried out:
    • Creation of the motion profile for the "Jogging" function.
    • Evaluation of the traversing range limit switches during manual homing.
    • Retracting from traversing range limit switches.
  • The axis moves as long as the corresponding control input has been set.
    • If the reference is known and the software limit positions are activated, a positioning to the corresponding software limit position is carried out if manual jog was not exited manually before by resetting the control inputs. The drive brakes with the set deceleration to the position of the corresponding software limit position.
    • If the reference is not known or the software limit positions are not activated, the axis will only stop at the hardware limit switch (target: Ramping down with "ErrorStop" deceleration).
Inputs for this operating mode

Name

Data type

Information/possible settings

xJoggingPos

BOOL

TRUE

Traversing an axis in positive direction (inching mode).

  • If xJoggingNeg is TRUE as well, traversing or stopping does not take place.

xJoggingNeg

BOOL

TRUE

Traversing an axis in negative direction (inching mode).

  • If xJoggingPos is TRUE as well, traversing or stopping does not take place.

lrJoggingSetVel

LREAL

Maximum velocity [unit/s] at which manual jog is to be carried out.

lrJoggingSetAcc

LREAL

Acceleration in [unit/s 2 ] for manual jog

  • Specification of the maximum velocity variation which is to be used for acceleration.

lrJoggingSetDec

LREAL

Deceleration in [unit/s 2 ] for manual jog

  • Specification of the velocity variation which is to be used for maximum deceleration to standstill.

lrJoggingSetJerk

LREAL

Jerk in [unit/s ³ ] for manual control
