Properties
The properties and events of the control selected in the Designer or in the document structure can be edited in the properties window.
The Properties window is located in the standard window layout on the right-hand side of the programme interface.
Each control element is of a specific type, e.g. Button or NumericVarIn. The type of the control is specified at the top of the properties window after "Type". If the control has a specific style, this is specified in brackets after it, e.g. Lenze.Default or LenzeCyan.Outlined.
In the Name input field, you can enter a name for the selected control and confirm with Enter. The name of the control can be used in bindings, in programming and in actions. The document organisation also displays the name entered.
The name entered sets the value of the id property of the element. Certain restrictions also apply to the assignment of IDs. You can find more information in the relevant sources on HTML on the Internet.
As the lists of available properties and events are usually very long, they are displayed in two separate views, which you can switch between.

The properties window has a search function that you can use to search for properties and events of the element selected in the Designer or in the document outline. Type the property you are looking for (in the list of properties) or the event you are looking for (in the list of events) in the Search field. The search works like a filter: as you type, the list of elements is updated dynamically and only hits that match the current entry are displayed.
For a better overview, properties are summarised in categories, e.g. "Display" or "Layout". To show or hide the properties of a category, click on the category name.
The most important properties are also listed in the "Favourites" category, which is always at the top. You can add any property to your favourites.
To add a property to the Favourites category, click on the advanced options icon (
) behind the desired property and select Add to Favourites from the menu.
To remove a property from the Favourites category, click on the advanced options icon () behind the desired property and select Remove from Favourites from the menu.
