UI types

EASY UI Designer supports various technologies to generate the graphical user interface. You have the choice between Modern UI, Classic UI or Web UI. VisiWin provides a graphical development interface in which you can configure your desired user interface according to the WYSIWYG principle(What You See Is What You Get).

This type of UI has the look and feel of the modern user interfaces familiar from Windows 7 and upwards. Modern UI also enables gesture control on multi-touch screens. Modern UI uses WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), which is available on Windows desktop operating systems. WPF is vector-orientated and allows unlimited transparency. Graphical output is realised via DirectX. WPF uses XAML as the description language for the design.

Classic UI uses Windows Forms and is also available on Windows desktop operating systems. Classic UI is pixel-orientated and only allows limited transparency. Graphical output is via GDI+. C# or VB is used as the description language for the design.
Note: Projects from VisiWinNET 2005 (version 6.x) can be imported into the development environment from VisiWin version 7.2 (see ).
Web UI

Web UI is based on HTML5 and JavaScript technologies. Web UI is available on all operating systems and devices. Web UI applications are displayed in a compatible web browser. The description languages for the design are HTML and CSS.
