When reading and writing variables, use the canonical node ID instead of a registered one

When registering the variables (nodes) with the ItemID in the OPC UA server, a type of index is generated by the OPC UA server for quick access to the variable (registered node ID). The registered node ID is then used for communication with the VisiWin OPC UA client. Registered node IDs increase performance during synchronised writing and reading, which becomes clear when writing large recipes, for example.

However, some OPC UA servers, such as some embedded OPC UA servers, require memory space to generate and manage these indices, which is not provided for this purpose and is therefore limited.

You can use this parameter to prevent the use of registered node IDs for reading and writing variable values and use the ItemID (i.e. the canonical node ID) instead.

Activating the parameter can lead to a delay in direct write and read processes from the visualisation.

If you activate this parameter, the parameter Do not use registered nodes when registering monitored items in subscriptions is not evaluated.
