Browser

Defines the specific component (browser) for reading variable definitions from project files, the PLC or other sources.

After inserting a new channel, the Browserparameter is automatically set to a value specific to the communication component, i.e. if a browser is available for the communication component, this is entered directly in the parameter.

Variable information, such as the ItemID, is heavily dependent on the communication component used. Changes to the browser parameter and therefore the browsing of data from another communication component require precise knowledge of the required syntactic information in the different communication components.

If the browser is to be redirected anyway, a browser can be selected in the Select browser dialogue via the button.

The browser for OPC server VisiWin7.Opc.Brw.dll is always installed as standard. Other listed browsers are usually registered accordingly by installing a communication component and displayed in the dialogue.
