Password
Personalised access to the system is secured by assigning a password to each user: a user must identify themselves with their login name and password to verify their identity.
The password is stored as an encrypted numerical value in the project file. It cannot be reproduced by an administrator, i.e. if a user forgets their password, they can no longer have the password communicated to them by their administrator. However, the administrator can provide the option of entering a new password via the runtime dialogues.
The minimum length that a password must have to be valid can be set via the user administration configuration. Attempts to enter a shorter password will be rejected.
In general, longer passwords increase the protection of the system.
