Remote trend
Remote trends do not obtain their data from the variable server, but from the trend server of another project running in the network.
Note: An extension to the runtime licence is required to use remote trends.
Once the Mode parameter has been set to Remote Trend, the following information is required to access the remote (remote) trend server:
| Computer name | Network name or IP address of the computer on which the remote trend server is running |
| Project name | Name of the VisiWin project running on the remote computer |
| Archive name | Name of the archive in the remote project |
| Trend name | Name of the trend definition in the remote project |
Important: Communication between the current VisiWin project and the trend server of the remote VisiWin project takes place via DCOM. In order for this communication to be established, the DCOM protocol must be set up accordingly (seeDCOM configuration).
