Region

A region is a placeholder for a view. There can be several regions on a page. In the FixLayout templates, a region is used for the header, for example.

Regions are elements that can be used to structure a visualisation and exchange content at runtime. They can be understood as placeholders into which views are loaded.

Examples of a region can be found in the menu templates for the FixClassical and FixTop layouts(AppShell.html). Here, the page has been divided into different components that provide more clarity in the document structure. Headers and, if applicable, footers are separate views that are referenced by the Region control via the NavigationWviewName property.

The content pages are replaced by another placeholder element called AppPageNavigator. In contrast to the region, pages are loaded here instead of views at runtime.
