Mode...

These parameters contain various settings that affect the use of parameters with the same name in the alarm type assignments and alarm definitions.

Alarm class mode

Determines whether the parameter value from the alarm or from the alarm type definition assignment should be used.

Setting

Description of the

Use alarm class from the alarm definition

The alarm class from the alarm definition is used.

Use alarm class from the type definition

The alarm class from the type definition is used.

Text mode/Mode parameter 1

Determines whether the corresponding parameter value from the alarm or alarm type definition is to be output as text.

The output of the two texts can be mixed using the formatting instruction @J@.

Note when mixing texts from the alarm type definition and alarm definition:

Setting

Description of the

Use text from the alarm definition

The text from the alarm definition is used. The formatting instruction @J@ can be used to include the text of the alarm type definition assignment.

Example:

Text of the alarm definition:

Controller 22: @J@

Text of the assignment in the alarm type definition:

Target value cannot be read - Check contacts

If the Text mode parameter of the alarm type definition is set to Use text from the alarm definition, the system reads the text from the alarm definition at runtime and replaces the formatting instruction @J@ with the text from the assignment of the type definition used. The following text is then output:

Controller 22: Setpoint value cannot be read - Check contacts

Use text from the type definition

The text from the alarm type definition is used. The formatting instruction @J@ can be used to include the text from the alarm definition.

Example:

Text of the alarm definition:

Controller 22

Text of the assignment in the alarm type definition:

Target value from @J@ cannot be read - Check contacts

If the Text mode parameter of the alarm type definition is set to Use text from type definition, the system reads the text from the type definition at runtime and replaces the formatting instruction @J@ with the text from the alarm definition. The following text is then output:

Setpoint value from controller 22 cannot be read - Check contacts

Priority mode/ Mode Parameter 2

Defines how the corresponding parameter values are to be linked during output.

Setting

Description of the

Use value from the alarm definition

Only the value from the alarm definition is used.

As a result, all alarms from this alarm type definition have the corresponding parameter value from the alarm definition at runtime.

Use value from the type definition

Only the value from the alarm type definition is used.

The same values for the corresponding parameters in different alarms can also occur here.

Add value from the alarm and type definition

The corresponding parameter values are added together.

Unique parameter values can be achieved application-wide using number ranges.

(Example: Increase in the alarm definitions of the corresponding parameter by 100, in the alarm type definitions by 1 in each case)

Status/acknowledgement variable mode

Determines whether the corresponding parameter value from the alarm or alarm type definition should be used.

Setting

Description of the

Use variable from the alarm definition

The specification of the variable that fulfils the specified function (see also acknowledgementvariable/status variable) is read from the corresponding parameter of the alarm definition.

Use variable from the type definition

The specification of the variable that fulfils the specified function is read from the corresponding parameter of the alarm type definition.

The corresponding variable identifiers can also be linked here using the @J@ formatting instruction (see above).

The assigned bit numbers from the alarm type definition are always used for the status/acknowledgement variable function.
