Recipe definition

A recipe definition, also known asa recipe class, specifies all the parameters that need to be set for the manufacture of a product.

When creating a project, communication channels with variable definitionswere created. At runtime, these variables contain various data such as sensor data, statuses, alarm information, actual values and target values. The latter specify to the control system how and what a machine should do.

These target values are often summarised thematically into different data records. If an operator is to receive support for processing different contents of a data record, the recipe system can be used for this. A recipe definition is then created for the data record. In EASY UI Designer, this recipe definition is called a recipe class; it could also be called a recipe type, product type or just a product. If there are thematically different data records, individual recipe classes are defined for each.

Note: A variable should only be used in one (1) recipe class so that the origin of the value is clear!
