Linking variables

Once you have created variable definitions in your project, you have various options for manipulating and monitoring variable values.

The most common way of doing this is to link controls and visualisation-specific functions to variables via the variable selection dialogue. This dialogue supports you in selecting a process variable whose value should either be displayed in the control element or fulfil a special function.
