Configuration of the alarm server
In addition to the pure monitoring of alarm statuses, the alarm server offers the following additional functions:

It manages an alarm history in the form of a database. All alarm status changes that occur can be saved in it. The decision as to which alarms are to be saved is made using the Save parameter in the alarm class definitions.

Online alarm line printing
It enables online alarm line printing, i.e. all alarm status changes that occur are sent directly to a connected printer in the form of print control characters via a parallel port on the server computer. The decision as to which alarms are to be printed is made using the Print parameter in the alarm class definitions.
The configuration of the alarm server essentially enables the following project-wide settings:
The configuration is visible via the project explorer node AlarmsWConfiguration on the property pages.
