Bit number (Alarms module)

Determines which bit of a variable triggers the function.

Parameters

Description of the

Bit number of the activation variable

(alarm group). If the corresponding bit is set, all alarms contained in the alarm group are deactivated.

Bit number of the event variable

(alarm). If the corresponding bit is set (reset if 0-active = true), the alarm is triggered.

Note: The bit number of the event variable only has a function for an alarm definition if the Type parameter has been set to (bit).

Bit number of the acknowledgement variable

An alarm can be acknowledged by setting the corresponding bit. This means that an alarm can be acknowledged both on the PLC side and on the user side (outside the alarm control elements).

Bit number of the status variable

The status of an alarm is defined by 3 status bits (see Alarm statuses). The bit number of the status variable specifies the least significant of the three bits (e.g: Bit number of the status variable = 2; from this follows: Bits 2, 3 and 4 indicate the status of an alarm).

Bit number (assignment in the bit block alarm type)

If the corresponding bit is set (reset if 0-active = true), the alarm is triggered.
