Definition: Assignment
Within an alarm type definition, an assignment establishes the relationship between a value (for the "Numeric" alarm type) or a bit (for the "Bit block" alarm type) and the data of a simplified alarm definition. This naturally includes an alarm text, but also the priority, the reference to an alarm class and other parameters.
This data is used at runtime by the alarm definition that uses the associated alarm type. Depending on the configuration in the alarm type, only the data of the assignment is used or it is mixed with the data of the alarm definition.
