Maximum permitted login failures
Defines how many consecutive times a user must enter an incorrect password before they are locked out of the system. This prevents misuse by unauthorised persons. A user remains locked until their status is set to activated again by the administrator.
Example:
If the value 3 is specified in the parameter, a user may enter the password incorrectly twice in succession - the user is blocked on the third incorrect login attempt.
If the value 0 is specified in the parameter (default setting), any number of login attempts are permitted. The function is then deactivated.
