Switchvariable (unit class), switch variable (multiplexer)
|
Unit class (variable-dependent) |
Determines the variable whose value is used to switch between the unit definitions of a unit class. At runtime, this process variable value is compared with the values of the switchover identifierparameters of all units in the relevant unit class. If the value matches, the corresponding unit formula (parameters x1, x2, y1, y2) is used to convert all process variables that relate to this unit class. If the changeover variable reaches a value for which there is no changeover identifier in the unit class, the value of the process variables relating to this unit class is adopted without conversion. |

Multiplexer |
Determines the variable whose value switches the multiplexer. Multiplexers contain an assignment table whose columns are configured by creating switching states. The column header contains the value that must be assumed by the switching variable in order to redirect the corresponding variables in the column fields to the variable named by the alias column. |
Use a variable of an integer data type as the switching variable!
The use of a Boolean variable often leads to an error. The value True is not interpreted as 1, but as 0xFFFFFFFFFF (-1). Therefore, the multiplexer does not switch to switching state 1.
