Watermark

Display of a text as a placeholder, note or example for input.

The watermark is a placeholder text that is displayed within the input field of a control if the user input has not yet been made, i.e. if the linked variable is still empty. If an entry is made in the control, the watermark is hidden. The text for the watermark can be defined as a constant in the control or obtained from the language switch from»EASY UI Designer«.

WatermarkText

Use this property if the text is language-independent, e.g. a name or a short description.

LocalizableWatermarkText

If the labelling is to be language-dependent, the can be opened here via the button . This establishes the connection to an EASY UI Designer text definition. The property then saves the full name of the text definition.

The "LocalizableWatermarkText" property has priority over the "WatermarkText" property.
