Treat source language as target language

The source language can be exported or imported in the same way as a target language.

This setting activates some options in the interface.

Export

The developer language is available for selection in the list of target languages and additional languages. If it is selected there, the source language appears twice in the export file: On the one hand as the source language, of course, and on the other hand also marked as the target language. This option is helpful if you want to have the source language corrected by a proofreader. The option Only import texts that are identical for the source language in the project and in the import file, where an unchanged source language ("SourceLanguage" column) is required, is then available later when importing.

Example: Export file with double source language "German", once marked as "SourceLanguage", once as "TargetLanguage":

Import

The Import source language option is available when selecting the languages to be imported. If the proofreading procedure described above was not used when exporting, the corrected source language must be imported.

Example: Export file with simple source language "German" as "SourceLanguage":

TargetLanguage
