Import texts
The import is used to transfer the texts returned by the translator from the returned file (import file) into the project file.
Once all the data has been entered on the File, Languages and Options tabs, the function is triggered with the Import button. A message then displays the success or the errors are listed in detail (see Error display).
Results for the set data are displayed on the Statistics tab.
The import is only limited to the existing texts in the project file. If new texts are added to the import file, these are not inserted into the project file!
The translation manager is not an alternative to the language switch editor. If you want to exchange or add texts between several projects or between a project and an external file, use the "Copy" and "Paste" functions via the Windows clipboard in the development system instead.

Language selection dialogue
To import texts, the files containing the texts to be imported must be specified. It can happen that the target language is no longer saved in the import file. This sometimes happens with Xliff files that are written by external translation tools. The translation manager then tries to determine the target language based on the file name. If this is also not possible, the user is asked which language the import file contains.
