Command line call
The translation manager can be called up via the command line to automatically export or import texts. It works in the background without a graphical user interface. Information and error messages are written to the standard output channels "stdout" and "stderr" of the console. At the end, the programme returns a value in the environment variable "%ERRORLEVEL%" and may write an error list.
There are essentially four command line commands:
-E
Exporting texts. Alternative spelling: /E -e /e
-E ProjectFileName ExportFileName FileType TextSelection Source:Language
[Target:Language [Target:Language] ...] [[Additional:Language
[Additional:Language] ...] [SNE:SourceNotEmpty] [TG:TextGroups]
[Flt:Flatten] [MF:MultiFiles]
[CNT:ColumnNameType] [LPT:LanguagePlaceholderType] [VB:Verbose] [LOG[+]:LogFileName]
-I
Importing texts. Alternative spelling: /I -i /i
-I ProjectFileName ImportFileName TextSelection
[Target:Language [Target:Language] ...] [ISL:IdenticalSourceLanguage]
[CTP:CheckTextParameters] [VB:Verbose] [LOG[+]:LogFileName]
-H
Outputs the available command line commands. Alternative spelling: /H H -h /h h ? -? /? HELP
-O
Displays the user interface and opens the project. This command is intended for integrating the translation manager into other programmes in order to quickly open and edit a project.
Alternative spelling: /O -o /o
-O [ProjectFileName]
You can find an application example in the chapter Integration in other programmes.
