Overview of the controls

The controls are provided in the toolbox of »EASY UI Designer«and are divided into different categories. You can find an overview here.

Contains control elements that trigger a function or change a process variable when operated.

Symbol and name	Description of the
Button	Button for calling up a function.
ToggleButton	Switch for switching an option on or off.
Key	Push-button with variable connection.
Switch	Switch for switching an option on or off.
CheckBox	Checkbox for activating or deactivating an option.
RadioButton	Element for activating or deactivating an individual option from a group of options.
RadioButtonGroup	Control element for grouping options, only one of which can be activated at a time.

Contains control elements for the input and output of process values.

DropDownBox	Expandable list of options from which only one can be selected.
NumericVarOut	Output field for a numerical process variable.
TextVarOut	Output field for an alphanumeric process variable.
DateTimeVarOut	Output for a date and/or a time.
Clock	Clock, displays the system time.
Bar	Bar chart for displaying a process variable value.
SegmentBar	Bar chart consisting of segments for displaying a process variable value.
RadialInstrument	Tachometer-like display of a process variable value.
PieChart	Pie chart for displaying multiple values.
XYChart	Diagram for displaying XY coordinates.
DonutGauge	Ring diagram for displaying a process variable value.
DateTimeVarIn	Input/output for a date and/or a time.
NumericVarIn	Input/output field for a numerical process variable value.
TextVarIn	Input/output field for an alphanumeric process variable value.
Slider	Slider for the input and output of a variable value.
Label	Display of a text and a symbol for labelling other elements.
Image	Display of a graphic.
ColorIndicator	Control element that changes colour when the value of the linked variable changes.
StateIndicator	Control element that changes its colour, text and symbol depending on the value of the linked variable.

Contains control elements for displaying data from the system modules.

AlarmLineCollection	Alarm line that displays several alarm categories and can be expanded.
AlarmList	Display of alarms in the form of a table or list.
HistoricalAlarmList	Display of historical alarms in tabular form.
AlarmIndicator	Indicates the presence of alarms.
TrendChart	Control that displays trend data over time in a curve chart.
TrendChartController	Control that allows to interact with the to which it is connected TrendChart.
TrendChartLegend	Table containing information on curves of a TrendChart control.

AbsoluteLayout	Container for manual positioning of control elements.
FlexLayout	Container for automatic positioning of control elements.
Group	Container for control elements with frame and labelling.
CardLayout	Container for automatic positioning of cards.
Card	Control element that is displayed on a CardLayout, with a heading and content.
ViewBox	Container for scaling the content.

TabBar	Bar with buttons for navigation.
PanoramaView	A placeholder control that enables navigation through multiple views.

VideoPlayer	Control element for playing a video.
PDFViewer	Control element for displaying a PDF document.
EmbeddedWebsite	Control element for integrating an external resource into the application.

Some controls are not included in the ribbon but used in templates that are already included in each new project or can be added to the project if needed.
